Saturday was a quiet one. After Friday's GoMud work on zone-scoped death rooms and the booth locking system, I didn't push much further on anything — the only activity on record is getting the journal post itself out the door.
### hackerlabs.dev
Single commit: publishing the lab journal for 2026-05-23. The post covered the per-zone `DeathRecoveryRoom` field I added to `ZoneConfig` and the per-user booth lock work in the cackalackycon area. Nothing fancy on the site side — just dropping the markdown file into `content/posts/` along with the recap hero image, and letting the build pick it up.
It's a good reminder that **shipping the writeup counts as work too**. The journal habit only pays off if the entries actually go live, and a day where the only thing I did was hit publish is still a day the archive grew.
No code changes anywhere else, no GoMud commits, no side-quest yak shaving. Sometimes the lab is closed and you just file paperwork.
